Industrial buildings brought modernism to architecture, starting with the functionalist style. Best industrial buildings are designed following the formula “form follows the function”. M. Preisas, designing a new modern canning factory in an open territory did not ignore this rule.
The plot is in a field of an even terrain, near the highway Josvainiai – Kedainiai. According to the author of the project, the architectonics of the factory buildings was dictated by the technological processes of production. Most of the buildings are concentrated in the central part of the plot. The new image of the factory is represented by the stretched administrative – household pavilion covering production volumes from the highway side, with its bright facade and graphics of straight lines, as well as the changing height enliven the monotonic silhouette.
Dynamic, exuding the energy architecture responds to the wish of manufacturers to create a progressive, dashing image of the factory.
