About object:

The building build during the Soviet period is in a beautiful area of Vilnius – on the embankment of Neris River, not far from the Old Town. A prestigious location and an outdated appearance of the administrative building, made the company to start creating a new image of “Lietuvos Energija”. “Vilnius Architecture Studio” team won the contest to design it.
Conceptualism won. Even while still sketching, it was decided to give up “cosmetic” corrections and to change the appearance of the building completely – to form a new modern architecture façade on the main façade that would truly symbolize the modern energetics company.
The new façade is not only the new face of the company, it also performs other functions: protects the interior of the building from overheating in summer, and from cold in winter, it reduces the impact of the noise in work premises, has improved natural ventilation. The remaining walls of the building were insulated additionally and were finished with dark clinker bricks. The new main entrance is powerful also with long ramps on both sides of it; there is a spacious lobby when entering the building.
The new garment of the building sparkling in twilight reflects in the water with its lightning pattern and decorates the entire embankment.
