Building location is responsible and specific: in Vilnius Old Town, the plot near intersection of Šv. Kazimiero and Augustijonų streets. Gymnasium consists of two functional blocks: the general premises and educational. Block of general premises is equipped with a hall and sports hall, canteen, administrative area. Educational block is designed around an internal courtyard. Since the height of the building was strictly regulated, this resulted in one of the most important design issues: lack of the area intended for number of students. Thus, after lowering of the ground level of courtyard, additional base floor where part of the classes is arranged has been installed. The inner courtyard is designed for recreation. Greater yard and hall spaces are decorated with accents of monumental art: themed sculptures.
Harmonious relationship with the surrounding historic development was sought not only through similar volumes and scale of parameters, but also through the facade solutions. Postmodern expression of the building with free interpretation of historic styles and stylization of details, playful composition of openings of various sizes and shapes supplemented with motifs of rustics, cornices, arched and beam lintels help the building fit seamlessly into the environment, but also do not identify with it.
